Sounds to me like SUPRA1987 has a good idea. I also don't know why excess power can't be sold to other areas. Are our power grids so out of date they can't do that?

Well, there will be less ethanol sold, but where are the vehicles that are going to burn all this excess natural gas?

Too bad they couldn't store the excess for when demand is high.

To much electricity. That kind of takes the wind out of all those folks who worry about other folks who are plugging their cars into the grid. Sounds like BPA has more power than they know what to do with.

The excess capacity could be used in hydrolysis to split water into Hydrogen and oxygen thereby producing a storable fuel that could be converted back into electricity when needed or used for other purposes like Hydrogen powered vehicles.

So unproven wind was ordered for an area that was already using hydroelectric. How foolishly can they be spending money?

I agree with Chazzy12 they need to spread that extra electricity out on the grid. Too much electricity, then why the hell do we always have to conserve? and why the heck is it so high???????
